01: The Pensions Act 2007

The Department for Work and Pension (DWP) published a Pensions Bill in November 2006. This followed on from its White Paper of May 2006, in which the department responded to the Pensions Commission’s three reports.

The Bill became the Pensions Act 2007 early in the year and has now been followed by another Pensions Bill. What follows is a brief summary of the main points of the Act.
